Dr. ir. Lex van der Meer

Lex van der Meer works as a FEA specialist at the Dutch engineering company ABT, in the field of civil and structural engineering. He has a PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology and work experience in the offshore and building industry.

Quote: “In the building industry, advanced simulations are not yet common. But they are valuable because they provide insight in the actual structural behaviour. They can assist to make optimized, more sustainable designs. They can be used to explore new materials and construction techniques.
