Elastomer Research Testing BV

About Elastomer Research Testing BV

Founded in 2003, Elastomer Research Testing BV is an independent and ISO 17025 accredited research and test laboratory (Raad van Accreditatie, L519) which offers a complete range of equipment and know-how for testing elastomer and rubber compounds. The laboratory is very well equipped and the employees have extensive academic and/or many years of practical knowledge and experience in the rubber industry. The company activities can be divided into testing, compound development, consultancy, failure analysis and training.

Our customers come from the whole rubber chain: from raw material suppliers, manufacturers and end users of rubber products to trading and recycling companies. Choosing ERT BV as a partner extends the research capacity and enlarges the competitive force without investing large amounts of money in expensive, rarely used laboratory equipment.

We are experienced in determining all kind of data needed as an input for FEA analysis. FEA analysis makes it possible to obtain information beforehand whether a possible design will functionalize in application. This will prevent investing lots of money in extensive moulds to vulcanize the rubber products, which finally turn out to be not practical. As an input for this FEA modelling characteristic tests are required like i.e. uni-axial tension, planar shear, compression-strain, bulk modulus, bi-axial tension, WLF mastercurves and customer specific tests. We are able to determine these properties and our partners are able to perform the FEA modelling, so we can be of service to you in this engineering phase of the supply chain.
