Rod Giles
Head CAD & CAE, Royal Enfield
Rod studied at the University of Bath and Masters Degree at the University of Warwick whilst working in product development at Austin-Rover. Rod joined Lotus Engineering in 1990 working on the Lotus Elan, and for many clients. Rod headed the analysis department of Thyssen-Krupp Automotive, where new methods for FEA based fatigue analysis were developed. In 2008 Rod joined Polaris Industries to work on the RZR off-road vehicles. Triumph motorcycles working on the new Bonneville. Rod joined Royal Enfield in 2015 where he leads a team of enthusiastic CAE engineers who are developing the next generation of Royal Enfield motorcycles.
